This year’s Travel Technology Show held at Earl's Court on the 13th and 14th February saw Swiftpass Digital provide their unique, secure mobile ticketing services to thousands of delegates attending the exhibition. The Travel Technology Show, organised by Centaur Exhibitions, is the UK’s largest showcase of technology companies supplying the travel industry.

Instant Distribution
The Swiftpass mobile ticketing technology allowed delegates from across the world to receive their entry ticket to the show as a barcode on their mobile handset. Delegates simply registered as normal through the Travel Technology Show website and entered their handset details. Integration between the Swiftpass system and the registration site allowed for the instant distribution of the barcode ticket via a range of mobile messaging formats to delegates, globally.

The ability to distribute mobile tickets instantly also meant that online registration could be kept open right up to and even on the day of the event itself – something that in previous years had to be closed several days before the event.

Customer Convenience
The Swiftpass system not only allowed Centaur to reduce the costs associated with printing and posting paper badges, but also significantly alleviated pressure at the entry registration desk. Delegates with mobile tickets no longer needed to queue at the desk as Swiftpass provided their custom-built mobile ticketing kiosks for the event. These allowed delegates to scan their barcodes upon entry in order to print out their name badge and seminar passes.

Swiftpass also demonstrated the flexibility of their technology by allowing delegates to text-in to a short code number in order to receive a barcode back to their handset immediately. Delegates could then take this barcode to the Swiftpass exhibition stand where it was scanned in order to see if they had won the latest state of the art Sony Ericsson P990i smart phone. One lucky delegate won the phone as can be seen below.
