Trevor Smallwood OBE - Chairman
Trevor Smallwood joined Swiftpass as Chairman in 2006. Prior to this, Trevor was Executive Chairman of FirstGroup plc. Trevor led the MBO of Badgerline from National Bus Company in 1986 and during the following 13 years, engineered the growth of the business from one employing 800 employees to one with £2B turnover and profits of almost £100 million with a worldwide reach.
Trevor oversaw the international expansion of the Group which today has operation in many countries, operating some 10,000 buses in the UK, 14,000 US school buses and has 3 UK rail franchises. He was also Chairman of Bristol Airport.
Trevor brings to Swiftpass critical knowledge and senior level contacts in the world transport business. Trevor is also Chairman of Greater Bristol Foundation, a local charity, non executive director of Brandon Tool Hire plc, UKRD radio stations and Bristol Water plc.
David Ransome - Finance Director
As Finance Director, David Ransome assists the management team in the areas of business planning, finance and operational management. His previous experience includes being both Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer at Unite Group plc, a company in which he was employed for eight years, during which time it grew to be a fully listed business with over 500 employees.
Wayne Lee - Technical Director
As Technical Director, Wayne Lee is responsible for the technical direction and day to day technical running of the company.
Since its launch in 2004, Wayne has guided Swiftpass into the next generation of mobile ticketing, from the distribution of mobile tickets right through to the validation processes.
Wayne has over 11 years' programming and management experience, working from third line support areas to application development and architecture design.
Key successes include the role of senior architect for a document management system for British Airways and Global Technical Consultant for Adaytum Software.
During his career running his own business, Wayne has developed applications for clients such as BT, SKY and BCWA.
Peter Rilett- Non Executive Director
Peter Rilett was until recently Managing Partner of the Bristol office of KPMG, and is a trustee of the Greater Bristol Foundation. He is also a governor of Bristol Grammar School.
John Laycock - Non Executive Director
Having recently left the role of Chairman of Brandon Hire plc, John has since joined the board of Swiftpass. Previously John Laycock acted as Chief Executive of Brandon Hire plc since 1994. John's extensive career has included being Chairman of Bristol City Football Club and founded Jay Fasteners in 1975 which he subsequently sold in 1989.
David Freed - Non Executive Director
David spent several years in private practice as a Solicitor specialising in commercial property development prior to taking over Sydney Freed (Holdings) which is a majority shareholder in Deeley Freed Estates Ltd. David is also a Director of Bristol Rugby Club.
